The development of anthelmintic resistance and the high cost of conventional anthelmintic drugs led to the evaluation of medicinal plants as an alternative source of anthelmintics. In the current study, in-vitro experiments were conducted to determine the possible anthelmintic effects of crude ethanolic extract of Piper Betle and Moringa Oleifera against Eichenea foetida . Both the extracts were tested for two doses 25mg/ml and 50 mg/ml. Synergistic activity of both the extract was studied 1:1 extract at the dose 50 mg/ml. Results suggested that both the plants showed dose dependent effect and Piper Betle was found to be more effective than Moringa Oleifera .The overall findings of the present study have shown that Piper Betle and Moringa Oleifera contain possible anthelmintic compounds and further evaluation of these plants should be carried out.
